Today is the first day of my journey into both web design and nurse blogging. The blogging is kind of an old interest as I have had an online journal since I was in high school, and, come to think of it, the web design interest is kind of an oldie too conceived also when I was in high school and started an online ‘zine (do angsty teenagers make those anymore?). So, I will present this as a newish, reborn avenue of interest (which is actually an old interest) that I hope I can use to support my interest in both design, allowing me to express my creative side and also mesh well with my interest of educating the public about social justice issues. So welcome. Let’s see where the future will take us.
I began today with doing some research about the different programs that both amateur and professional web designers use. It seems that the most user friendly one is Adobe Dreamweaver. The next part of my day took me to the local public library to find some books about both using Dreamweaver and basic principles of web design. My goal over the next few weeks is to familiarize myself with this program and decide whether or not it is worth it to purchase. Wish me luck
