You lost me at epistemology.
Have you ever had the experience of listening to someone at a conference or reading an academic paper, the entire time thinking, please just explain it to me in a way that that makes someone who actually does this day in and day out care about what you are saying? What is this strange process of having so many ideas and not connecting them to what actually is? Just give me a hint about how I get from point A to point B, please.
I get it. You made it through grad school. We are all smart. Now help me connect your theoretical musings to what happens in healthcare in the here and now. Things can change faster if the nurses who work with patients understand the connections.
Does anyone else in academia get disillusioned by this whole process that seems based on faking it until you make it or trying to outsmart everyone else?
As an aside: how do you dismantle something that wasn’t fully mantled?
Love,
Michelle D.
